Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026 · applies to the Yolkbook app for iPhone, iPad and Android and to this website.
In short: Yolkbook has no account and no servers of ours. Everything you enter stays on your device. The app has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We receive your data only if you decide to email us.
1. Who we are
The data controller is Marcin Pastorczyk IT, Lipnica Wielka 92, 34-483 Lipnica Wielka, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 7352613805, e-mail: mpwpkp@gmail.com.
2. Data you enter in the app
- Flocks, birds, egg counts, feed, expenses, sales, hatches, notes, reminders and photos are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage.
- The app never sends this data to us or to anyone chosen by us. We have no access to it.
- There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
- Photos you add are copied into the app's private storage. Location data (GPS) embedded in photos is removed when you add them.
- Deleting the app deletes all its data from your device. Keep a backup file if you want to restore it later.
3. Network connections
The app's only network connection is an in-app purchase made through the App Store or Google Play. The rating request you may see is a system window shown by iOS or Android; the app sends nothing itself.
4. Purchases
Purchases (Yolkbook Pro, Breeder Pack) are processed by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your name, payment details or account information. The app stores locally only which product was unlocked.
5. Backups, exports and your phone's system backup
- Backup files (.flockz), CSV files and PDF reports are created only when you ask for them, and you decide where to save or share them.
- Separately, your phone's own system backup (iCloud on iPhone and iPad, Google backup on Android) may copy the app's data to your Apple or Google account if you have it turned on. This happens between your device and your account under Apple's or Google's terms; we have no access to it. On Android, photos are not included in the Google cloud backup — keep backup files to keep your photos safe.
6. Notifications and error log
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. If something goes wrong, the app writes a technical error log on your device. It leaves your device only if you choose “Share error log” and send it yourself.
7. When you contact us
If you email us (for example via “Report a problem”), we process your e-mail address and the content of your message to answer you. The prepared message contains only the app version and the number of records — no data from your flock unless you add it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep this correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and then for up to 2 years, unless the law requires longer. Our e-mail is provided by Google (Gmail), which processes messages on our behalf.
8. This website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). It uses no cookies, no analytics and no external fonts or scripts. GitHub may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs for security and reliability — see the GitHub Privacy Statement.
9. Children
The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
10. Your rights
For any personal data we hold about you (in practice: e-mails you sent us), you have the right to access, rectify and erase it, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Write to mpwpkp@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland. Data in the app stays under your control: you can edit, export or delete it at any time.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
